Even better was the other super slim I had sealed. That thing was DOA right out of the box. I couldn't even get it to display video of any kind OR get it to switch to safe mode to see if maybe a lesser video resolution would work. That one I had to ditch as a dead system. Steer clear of the super slim at all costs. When you buy it yes, but when you upgrade it tells you that everything on this "disk" is wiped out and deactivated. It runs exclusively on the new disk. Try remove the hhd and see what happens. There should be an os installed, otherwise if the HDD fails, you have a brick instead of a console. Those look better and are more reliable. Super slim is honestly the ugluest ps3 console out there. Have fun opening the disc tray with no power to your console. That goes to ALL you console owners that don't have PS3 SS - have fun pressing eject and getting disc out with your console switched off. For example I remember a guy from the Gran Turismo 6 forum that he tested the game on every different ps3 models and at the end he realized that the game works much better on the slim and the super slim models. 4. Not including the protruding sticks and buttons, the new Slim is 15mm thick, compared to 18mm for the old model. Some of our staff thought the slimmer design was easier to hold, but more important PS3 fat was nicer than the (still attractive) Slim which was nicer than the vile Super Slim (shudders in horror). So, my friend here says that the PS3 Slim has a better graphics card, processor than the original PS3. Same for Xbox 360 slim and normal 360. I am 100% sure he is wrong, but he is very confident of his "facts" as well. He says games can look better on Slim vs I'm planning on buying a PS3 in the upcoming weeks/months. Collection-wise, I know that a PS3 Fat is better but I'm already decided on buying either a Slim or a SuperSlim. Imo the PS3 Slim looks better but I've had one and was pretty unlucky with that (stopped working correctly after a few months after buying it used). Well, having an actual PS2 and/or PS3 is better than paying for PS plus premium and the PS3 controller almost has the same design as the PS2 aside from the triggers and the analog button, which is replaced by the PlayStation button and if I want to play PS2 games legally, I would go for the slim since it doesn’t take up that much space
